Bow Martial Abilities


Heavy Draw – 1

Bows you wield gain the same benefits as a melee weapon for the purposes of being wielded in two hands.

Over Draw – 1

You may spend 1 Stamina to double Attribute modifiers to damage on all attacks with a bow until the start of your next turn.

Arc Shot – 2

You may spend 2 Stamina when making an attack action to give your target a penalty to AC against those attacks equal to half of your Rank bonus in bows.

Long Shots – 2

You increase the base Range Increment with bows by 10 percent for each rank in the bow skill.

Readied Hunter – 3

When a readied attack you make with a bow would trigger, you may spend 1 Stamina to make the attack with Advantage.

Windage – 3

Every consecutive Ranged Attack you make against the same target without changing targets gives a +1 to hit. This bonus lasts until you change targets, and cannot exceed half of your Rank bonus in bows.

Split Arrow – 4

You may spend 2 Stamina before you make an attack with a bow to cause the attack to hit 2 different targets.

Standardized Firing – 4

Reduce the penalty for the Push the Attack action with ranged weapons by 1. This reduction increases by 1 at Professional and Grandmaster Rank in Bows.

Agile Archer – 5

You ignore a number of squares of movement that would provoke each round equal to half of your Rank bonus in the Bow skill.

Broken Arrow – 5

As a Basic Action you may make a ranged attack that does not provoke against as many targets adjacent to you as you wish, spending 1 Stamina per attack made during this action. All attacks made as part of this action are stage 1 attacks.

Collateral Damage – 6

If you would miss an attack with a bow, you may reroll the attack against a target of your choice adjacent to the original target.

Line in the Sand – 6

As a Basic Action you may spend 2 Stamina to designate a 5ft wide and 5ft per rank bonus in bows long line starting from a square within your first range increment. If a hostile creature you can see crosses this line and you have line of effect, you may take an Attack of Opportunity against them with a bow. The line lasts until the end of combat.

Quick Release – 7

You may make an additional stage 3 Iterative attack during the All-Out Attack action with bows.

Leading Shots – 7

You may spend 2 Stamina to cause each attack you make against the same target to give the target a -1 penalty to AC against attacks you make until the start of your next turn.

Call to Fire – 8

When making an All-Out Attack action with a bow you may spend 3 Stamina as part of the action to allow all friendly creatures within your natural reach to make a single Ranged Attack for free.

Pin Cushion – 8

Every attack with a bow you hit on a target leaves an arrow inside of them that increases the damage they take from other attacks by 2, up to a maximum of 20 extra damage from 10 arrows. These arrows can be removed with a Basic Action and a DC 15 + # of arrows Heal check.
