Thrown Weapon Martial Abilities
Nimble Retrieval – 1
You may retrieve a number of thrown weapons you have previously used and are within reach of equal to half of your Rank bonus in Thrown Weapons as a Quick Action.
Willy Nilly – 1
You may spend 1 Stamina to be able to draw stowed items as a Free Action until the start of your next turn.
Marked Target – 2
You may spend 2 Stamina to gain a bonus on Attack Rolls equal to half of your Rank bonus in Thrown Weapons against targets you have hit with a Melee Attack during the encounter. This bonus lasts until the start of your next turn.
Opening Volley – 2
You gain a bonus to damage with Melee Attacks against a target you have hit with a Thrown Weapon at range equal to your Rank bonus in Thrown Weapons until the end of the encounter.
Modified Ordinance – 3
You may apply ammunition charges and loads to thrown weapons, these charges and loads only trigger once regardless of whether the weapon survives the attack.
Shrapnel Shot – 3
You may spend 1 Stamina when you hit a creature with an expendable weapon to break off the weapon inside the target. Damage dealt by this attack cannot be healed until a Heal check is made with a DC equal to half the damage dealt. If the check fails the target takes an additional amount of damage equal to the difference the check failed by. This additional damage cannot be resisted.
Precise Throw – 4
When making a Ranged Attack with a thrown weapon against a Flat-Footed opponent, you gain an additional die of Precision damage that is one size smaller than the base weapon die per rank in Thrown Weapons.
Silent Swallow – 4
You may spend 2 Stamina to make a Feint check as a Free Action for every thrown weapon attack you make until the end of your turn.
Create Opportunity – 5
You may spend 1 Stamina to make single a Ranged Attack against a hostile creature as a Basic Action. If the attack hits, any friendly creatures threatening the enemy may take an Attack of Opportunity.
Distracting Fire – 5
If you have made a ranged thrown weapon attack against an enemy, that enemy gains the Hampered condition with a penalty equal to half of your Rank bonus in Thrown Weapons. This condition when applied this way only applies to Melee Attacks. Multiple instances of this ability do not stack.
Fan of Knives – 6
You may spend 2 Stamina to make a special cone attack with thrown weapons as a Basic Action. This cone originates from your space and has a size of 5ft per Rank bonus in Thrown Weapons. You may make a single attack against any creature within the cone, with all attacks made this way counting as a single attack. You must possess a sufficient number of thrown weapons to be able to attack multiple targets. If a target occupies more than one square within the cone, they may be targeted one time per space occupied.
Throwing Barrage – 6
When using abilities such as Many Shot or Two-Weapon Fighting with thrown weapons, reduce the penalty from those abilities by 1.
Exerted Toss – 7
You increase the Attribute Damage Multiplier of thrown weapons you use by 0.5. In addition, if you use an attribute other than strength to damage, they also benefit from the Attribute Damage Multiplier of thrown weapons.
Hail of Blades – 7
You may spend 1 Stamina to gain an additional stage 1 Iterative attack with a thrown weapon on the All-Out Attack action. You may spend additional Stamina to gain another attack at the next stage for every additional point of Stamina that you spend.
Embedded Thorns – 8
You may spend 2 Stamina as a Free Action on your turn to cause all thrown weapon attacks you hit with during that turn to apply their weapon damage a second time when the target would be hit by a melee attack.
Needle Strike – 8
The first time you hit a hostile creature with a thrown weapon attack each turn you reduce the number of Attacks of Opportunity and Defensive Actions that they can make that round by a quarter of your Critical Rating, rounded up.
